The HarborGate Collection

HarborGate brings the front door into the Shoreline lineup: fiberglass prehung entry doors built the way builders spec them — a 2 mm fiberglass skin on both faces over a PVC and LVL stile-and-rail frame, a polyurethane foam core, Low-E insulated glass, and a primed PVC jamb with ball-bearing hinges and a black threshold. Six designs, from a four-lite contemporary entry with transom and sidelites to a 20-minute fire-rated three-panel Shaker, every one factory-painted White or Black to match HarborForge door hardware. 36 by 80, 1¾ inches thick, left- or right-hand inswing.

2 mm Fiberglass Skin, Both Faces

Every HarborGate slab is skinned in 2 mm fiberglass on the outside and the inside. Fiberglass doesn't dent like steel, doesn't rot, swell, or warp like wood, and holds factory paint through freeze-thaw cycles — the reason builders spec it for the one door that takes the most weather.

Polyurethane Foam Core

A polyurethane foam core fills the slab edge to edge inside a PVC and LVL stile-and-rail frame — insulating, dimensionally stable, and quiet. Frankfort swaps in a 20-minute fire-rated core for garage-to-house openings.

Factory-Painted White or Black

Two colors, painted at the factory rather than shipped primed: White (RAL 9003) and Black (RAL 9005). The black matches HarborForge Matte Black door hardware, so a black door with black hardware arrives coordinated instead of close.

Low-E Insulated Glass

Glass lites, sidelites, and transoms are Low-E insulated units that reflect radiant heat back to the side it came from — warmer entry in winter, cooler in summer — without tinting the view.

Prehung and Prepped for Hardware

Each door arrives hung in a primed 6-9/16″ PVC jamb on black ball-bearing hinges, with standard 2⅛″ bores at 5½″ spacing and a 2¾″ backset. Any HarborForge handleset or smart deadbolt installs straight out of the box — no field boring.

Sealed Sill and Threshold

A 7⅝″ black threshold with an adjustable mill-finish sill, dark cap, and compression weatherstrip on all three sides. Adjust the sill after installation to close the gap under the slab as the house settles.

Warranty & Care Guide

Limited Warranty

Structural Warranty

HarborGate exterior doors carry a limited warranty against manufacturing defect in the fiberglass slab, stile-and-rail frame, and prehung jamb assembly. Specific terms — duration, insulated-glass seal coverage, and exclusions — are provided in writing on request before a project is specified.

Painted-Finish Coverage

Finish Warranty

The factory-applied paint finish is covered against peeling and delamination under normal residential exposure. Fading and chalking on dark colors in full-sun exposures, and any field-applied paint, are outside the finish coverage.

Coverage

Manufacturing defects in the fiberglass skin, core, and stile-and-rail frame
Prehung jamb, hinge, and threshold assembly defects present at delivery
Factory paint peeling or delamination under normal residential exposure
Insulated-glass seal failure (fogging between panes) — term provided on request

Exclusions

Damage from improper installation, an out-of-plumb opening, or an unprotected exposure without an overhang
Field-applied paint, stain, or coatings, and any damage from stripping the factory finish
Forced entry, impact, and cosmetic damage incurred after delivery
Labor for removal, reinstallation, and any resulting siding, trim, or flooring work
Commercial and multifamily common-area installations — contact us for coverage

Care Guide

Cleaning the Painted Surface

Wash with mild dish soap and warm water on a soft cloth or sponge; rinse and dry.
Never use abrasive pads, powdered cleansers, or solvent-based cleaners — they dull and scratch the factory paint.
Clean the sidelite and transom frames the same way; they carry the same painted finish as the slab.

Glass and Weatherstrip

Clean glass with a standard non-ammonia glass cleaner; keep it off the painted frame around each lite.
Wipe the compression weatherstrip with a damp cloth twice a year and check that it seats against the slab on all three sides.
If daylight shows under the slab, turn the sill adjustment screws to raise the sill cap — do not shim the threshold.

Hardware and Hinges

Ball-bearing hinges need no lubrication; if a hinge squeaks, a single drop of light machine oil on the pin is enough.
Tighten hinge and strike screws annually — a slab that drags at the top corner usually means a loose top hinge, not a warped door.
Touch up chips with a matching exterior acrylic latex; keep touch-ups off the weatherstrip contact surface.
